Today, the Goodyear Tire Company brings the inventor to light in the public’s mind. While Goodyear himself did not found the company, it persists as a testament to the man who created the product for which the company is known. Goodyear’s years as an inventor led to a promising invention. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, he did not receive much money for his product and died a poor, indebted man. Still, for his achievements, Goodyear is remembered and celebrated.
